MORE for Gay Men
Be out and stay out
Stay tuned to the Wright Institute for Lifelong Learning website for a recap of the 2005 Conference.
Friday night and Saturday created by and for gay men!
- Make room for more success and support
- Access the courage of your first coming out
- Commit to break out of new closets this year
- Connect to the purpose, deeper meanings, and spirituality of being gay

Because you're out, does that mean your transformation is complete? Are you done? Absolutely not!
For many of us, the decision to come out was a transformative experience that gave life new meaning. For many, the decision to come out released pent up emotions, freed up talents, and made us aware once again of the dreams we were meant to live. Building up the courage and resolve to tell our friends, parents, and siblings the truth while risking the future of those relationships was quite likely a painful part of the coming out process. But once the truth was spoken, you may have experienced an indescribable joy and seemingly boundless hope for the risk you had just taken.
Remember?
Perhaps it was hard to imagine at the time that there could be anything else that you could have wanted - and yet you knew it was just the beginning... And you were right. Ever since then your life has been filled with opportunities to take more risks, to tell and live your truth, to be increasingly more of who you really are while having a powerful and positive impact on both your gay and straight friends, family, and co-workers. Through dialogues, workshops, and inspirational guest speakers, the 2005 MORE for Gay Men Annual Conference will offer participants the opportunity to reflect on and assess the personal growth and transformation afforded by their past decision to come out and to explore what opportunities and challenges lie ahead as they continue their life's journey with a heightened sense of purpose.
